Oh Lort! (Madea's voice), I finally decided to put the fried dumplings recipe (Jamaican style fried dumplings are a side dish made by kneading flour and frying it in oil... very delicious) into FS. JESUS! Let's just say that fried dumplings are officially off my food list. the calories are high, the carbs are high... every thing is high. I ate about 5 today and that's about 1000.... I think I'm going to pass out lol

My hubby is Jamaican and I learned quite quickly years ago to cook Jamaican food. Best cuisine ever!!!! Had dumplings, jerk chicken and rice and peas two days ago. I ate one. No regrets!! 😄

I still feel sick about it... I will not add them to my food log, I dont need that type of negativity in my life 😌😇🤣. They were good but that's the last unless I feel adventurous. I actually cut back on rice and peas to once a week and its barely a cup and I substitute the kidney beans with lentils.

I only have it maybe once or twice a month too and only 1/2 cup. No coconut milk, oil or butter. I love food but have learned to ‘healthify’ my favs. lol

I make them all the time with jerk chicken and rice & peas. They are DELICIOUS! They’re off the menu for now. When I reach my target weight I may treat myself to some 😍

I'm not a fan of fried dumplings but I feel your pain. Ackee and salt fish is high in everything - but tastes wonderful. We limit ourselves to once every 2 or 3 months or so, if that. Nothing wrong with a treat every now and then. Take care of yourself Tanya. ☺
