I started keeping a journal of food eating yesterday. It is getting me to eat less today as I am more conscious of every little thing I'm eating. I will possibly be sending out my short stories to sci-fi/fantasy magazines for publication this summer. I got leads on small publishing houses in my area for the completed novels. I must continue to write daily and carry a notebook or index type book for when ideas come up if I'm out they're always occurring. Anyway, I think with this food journaling I should be down to 190 by the end of summer and that is where I really want to permanently be with the weight...
Vocabulary word of the day: ptarmigan -noun- a small (31 - 35 cm) bird in the grouse family found in northern subartic regions primarily in Eurasia and North America, and also isolated regions of mountainous Europe. It is a sedentary species.

I've also noticed that tracking what i eat, here and in my own personal food diary it helps me eat less. Good luck!

I do like tracking my food here on FS. I can look up the foods, or enter my own if not in FS. They give me my nutrition breakdown and pie. I also can put in my own recipes and figure out the nutrition really easy on FS. I can't publish any as FS never seems to accept them (??). They say they are behind. I submitted 2 in January and still not in. Oh well. Glenn, have a really nice evening. Great idea about carrying a notebook for when ideas strike. Keep one by your bed too in case you wake up with a wild thought. :-)

I see that you have started keeping the journal here on Fatsecret. It offers the great advantage of integration allowing other members to examine and comment on your eating habits. Good job getting this going buddy!
