It's a great grey day here in Germany! :)

Today I am thankful for my old comfy blanket and blanket cover :)
I am thankful for having back the energy to do things, for tasty goat camembert I had for breakfast ;)

I am starting to see my future as something to build as I want it to be, not as the next series of painful events (as my past 3 years have been).

I am happy 'cause when I look at myself in the mirror, I look again as I used to be before "the storm" distroyed my life. My eyes look alive again and full of life.

I realize I have been lucky to grow up in my family. My parents used to have good 'food habits': they eat small portions, healthy food, no soft drinks. They thought me that eating more than u need is not healthy, but its good once in a while, especially when u celebrate a special event :)
I changed my attitude towards food about four years ago, when I started dating the man who is now my ex husband. He is a baker, eating lots of sweet stuff all day long and all time when we went on holidays. He usually doesn't have proper meals, he just eats some bread and some pastries and that's a meal for him. I had to fight to have proper meals, and anyways he considered them a waste of time and energy. Living with him, together with the death of my mother and not practicing sports at all, lead me to gain about 15 kg within a year and a half (there's no full record of my peak weight on FS). I am thankful I had the strenght to stop that relationship, which was no good for me for many many reasons, and just few months after my mum died.

I feel alone now... Family is just my father and nobody else. My good friends are in Italy, I am glad to see them once or twice a year. I am building some new friendships here in Germany, glad I have the energy again to do so.
I want to believe its a new start, I want to build a family in the next years, I want something like a "regular life" again :)
