Finally had some downward movement on the scale, followed immediately by a bounce back up of a pound...of course! ;)
Not that big of a deal in the long run of course. I read a post here on FS about doing a moving average of your weight. So I set up a graph in Excel to do just that. It confirmed that yes I have been in a plateau, and it evened out those ups and downs. This in turn evens out my doubts and worries about whether or not this is "working". Of course it is working. I weigh less today than I did six months ago. I weigh less today than I did last week or a year ago. That is the right direction.
It does seem that I need to stay at 20g/day or less of carbs. Pretty rigid, but more satisfying than not losing at all.

EDIT: Just took another look at the moving average graph. No "up's"! It is all moving flat or down. Yay for moving average!

Fabulous! People tell me to "look for the downward trend" meaning the scale always fluctuates, and the mirror trumps the scale! If you look smaller and your clothes fit better, you are losing!

HCB, I agree, but when it just seemed to bounce up and down in the same range for three weeks straight, and I had just been through a six week plateau, this was the psychological boost that I needed. It shuts up that doubting voice that can start to creep into my internal dialogue. :)
