It's just so much easier to not eat junk when you are alone or others around you are not eating junk too. I totally caved this weekend. I even had a slice of cheesecake for my son's birthday. Argh. I am good about planning healthy during the week but the weekend I left it up to chance because I figured I'd have more time to plan during the day.
BIG MISTAKE.
With kids, chores that did not get done during the week, special events, not to mention loving family dinners, I fell off. I now realize I need to plan for the whole week, and have plenty of healthy so when my kid's friends come over and they want pizza rolls, I have a lean cuising pizza ready, or some light hot chocolate mix when everyone is having their home made grandma hot chocolate, and I even found reduced fat refrigerated cinnamon roll dough at the grocery store for fresh baked cinnamon rolls instead of doughnuts on sunday morning.
Well, it's a learning process, a journey to make healthy eating part of my lifestyle. Today was easy, I had my cereal bar and fruit in the morning, yorgurt and coffee at work, green salad and frozen meal for lunch. I'll have some fruit later and maybe some green tea. When I get home I have everything ready for a quick light veggie tuna salad on whole grain bread and a skinny cow for dessert. Since I have yet to go grocery shopping (son's birthday last weekend), the kids will have to do with chicken nuggets, mac and cheese and apples.
Oh, and sometime this week we are supposed to take someone out for their birthday too. I need prayer.
Lord, help me stay motivated, help me see the light at the end of the insanely long tunnel. Please let me see some results, I need to know that what I am doing will have its rewards. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen.

It's so hard to eat healthy on the weekends. I need to wait until everyone is done eating and eat alone it feels like. I made some healthy stir fry for myself, but because it was my son's birthday and he had a friend over i made them pizza rolls. I ended up eating three. Argh. Then I had only two ritz crackers with cheese and a slice of pepperoni, not a lot, but almost 9 g fat!!! Later we are supposed to go take them bowling and then out to eat, will the torture never end?!?!?!
