Cholesterol and fat concerns
Back then what they thought: eggs are high in cholesterol and high LDH cholesterol in human increased risk of heart disease, hence don't eat things with high in cholesterol.

What we know now from current research: cholesterol in our blood does not come from the cholesterol in food we eat but is produced by our liver stimulated by saturated and trans fat we eat. This is info that has come out in the past couple years, health practitioners need to stay up to date and there is a lot of new info daily.

A lot of assumptions were made about many things back in the day, and a lot of it has stick.

I eat a lot of stuff with cholesterol except eggs, which I don't eat due to inflammatory properties. My doctor wants me to eat more fat so I can get my cholesterol and triglycerides up. My good and bad cholesterols are low, my doctor is not telling me to eat cholesterol, those days are gone.

Electric multi cookers ie instant pot
I have a power cooker, second one I've owned. It works great and I've had no issues, it's also cheaper than the instant pot with the same features. I grew up with a pressure at home that was used regularly, so that is my normal. But I am renter and encounter different stove tops and with some you can't use aluminum which is what most of the regular cookers are made from. I mostly use it for stews or a quick cook curry. Mine has about 7 different settings, and I do use the slow cook setting as well for broth.

Gaining on 800 cal/day
I have Hashimoto disease, worked out and ate under 1200 cals a day just to slow down weight gain, and I'm 5'5. Not saying that she is in a similar situation but just showing it is possible. I have to eat much much lower to lose.
