I can't believe I made it to the top of Hanging Rock Mountain
Very Happy My dear hubby to me to Hanging Rock State Park, in NC on Thursday. I climbed it all the way to the top. I was standing on top of the Hanging Rock. It was beautiful. Eight months ago, I could have never done this. But, I have lost 76 pounds this year. I have been walking, and had built up to about 1 mile, on flat ground, but this was the first time I have ever attempted to do something so strenuous in over 22 years. It was really hard, but for me, man, what an accomplishment. I took my anti-inflamatories before we started, and took another when we were done. My legs have not been sore at all. My arms and hands are another story. They are still bothering me.

Here's why: This lady hiker that we chatted briefly with gave me a hiking pole, because she could see how hard of a time I was having. I used that pole. It helped push me up the trail, and then coming back down, it kept me steady. Of course, we took our time and had to stop and rest several times. My legs were shaking so bad coming back down. I have sarcoidosis, and I never thought I would be able to do something like this again. But, I did. I am amazed, shocked, and proud of myself for this accomplishment.

I went clothes shopping, and down from a 30/32 to a 14/16 Womens top. I stood in the dressing room and cried. I just can't believe this is me. I have been overweight my whole life. I am so thankful to my doctors and all my supporters. If my Aunt Moleta was still alive, she would be the most proud of me. She struggled with her weight the same as me.

Anyway, I still have a lot to go, but I am making progress.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I weigh myself every morning, that way, I know what I need to work on, and what makes me gain weight, or hold water. So far, I am down from 280 to 213. This morning, I was at 214.8, but I have been steady with the 213, so I am not worried about the difference today. I have lost 5% of my body fat since May. And, 67 pounds since February. I had lost 44 lbs before my gastric sleeve on July 31, 2014, and the rest since then. My doctor says that it is normal to hit a plateau about now, but that I will start losing again, just a little more steadily. Very Happy
