I live in Canada's "banana belt", the beautiful, fertile Fraser Valley, British Columbia. We are on the edge of a rain forest, about 5 miles from the base of an over 7000 ft. mountain, although we are a mere 100 ft. above sea level, making for dramatic scenery. I love being outdoors, gardening, landscaping on our acreage, walking, kayaking and never tire of our astounding views, waterfalls and area.
I was a member of FS, first in 2011. Born in 1955, I have tried every diet out there; WW, J Craig, Atkins, Keto, HCG...I have recorded years of efforts in books of logged food, exercise, & wt. lifting regimes. Chubby as a child, I started my first diet to support my mom at 12, finally slimming out as an athletic, active teen. Then I strove to remain in a five lb. range. Over decades that ballooned to 20 - 25 lbs. over, regardless of my alarmed attempts to rein it in. Finally I'm experiencing success using FS and a Fitbit for more accurate calorie expenditure. Allergies and health issues means I've eaten clean and simple over the decades, putting my health ahead of the curve at this point. It's exciting to see the steady decline in wt, now, regardless of the slow results.
