I haven't had the time to log into the site for a little while. There were days that I followed my diet perfectly and days like last night where I had a pb and fluff sandwich at 1130pm. My boyfriend has lost 8lbs already, but I can't compare myself to him, a man's metabolism is faster than a woman's. I've lost around 5lbs with my little daily workout routine in my house and trying to stay on track with dieting. I know that 5lbs isn't a huge success but it's definitely a start. I did a 20 minute workout just a few minutes ago, I did squats, lunges, pushups, flutter kicks, other abdominal work outs and other workouts targeting the body parts that I'm most unhappy with. I was dripping sweat, my heart was pounding and I couldn't catch my breath for a few minutes. So, I know it was a good little workout. I hope I'm not too sore because I have work tomorrow, it's a 9 hour shift on my feet.

I haven't really been able to work out today. Unfortunately my job is currently crucifying me for having to tend to a family emergency and their own scheduling errors. They said, they aren't firing me I'm just not on the schedule. What's the difference? They are forcing me to quit. Another reason why I'm in college, so I can have an actual career, and not just work at a grocery store part time and get treated like crap. So I have spent the majority of the morning job hunting for another job. Such a crappy feeling.
So far today I've had Kashi Cereal for breakfast with some coffee. I'm beginning to get hungry for lunch, so I think I'm going to have tuna. For dinner I'm making my boyfriend and I grilled chicken salads. I haven't done any yoga, because I'm EXTREMELY sore from the past two days. If anything I will stretch, that's always good for recovering muscles. I have quite a bit of cleaning to get done today also. So that should burn up some calories as well.

I just did over an hour of yoga/Pilates and other basic stretching. I felt AMAZING after. I never knew how much yoga and Pilates made you sweat and your heart race! Every muscle in my body feels so stretched and so great! I will definitely look forward to doing this every day. It doesn't even feel like a work out!

Since I am taking this so seriously I feel that I should write in my journal after every meal so I can look back and see how I felt after everything I ate.
I just had my breakfast...even though it's lunch time. I was originally going to go with a yoplait vanilla yogurt and a handful of our homemade granola. But, when I logged it in my food diary, I noticed that it was high in carbs and sugar and low in protein. So I decided to go with the traditional 2 scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of whole wheat toast with a cup of home brewed iced green tea.
I was full when I was half way through, I probably should have stopped eating. But, I'm still trying to retrain myself into understanding that despite what my parents said growing up, I don't have to clear my plate.
I feel very satisfied and happy that I went with a whole grain and protein breakfast/lunch.
I'm going to do some house cleaning, pushups and situps now.
