Please do not judge me for this week's terrible weight gain. It is all my fault, and I knew it when I was doing it. I tried REALLY HARD to stay on my diet on my vacation, but it just was not possible this time.
I am not too upset over it actually because I know that I can get right back on the wagon now that I am home and back to reality. Next week's weigh in will be much better!!!!

Today is 10/10/10. Yesterday was my 1 year wedding anniversary. I have been doing VERY WELL on Atkins for the past three weeks. However, we took a little vacation to celebrate and while I have been still sticking with the program, I have allowed myself a few small cheats. I feel HORRIBLY guilty about it, I can already see and feel the difference in my body.
I think I am mostly over eating more so than really over doing the carbs and sugar, as watching these two things has been my top priority. What's crazy is, Its not like I was like, "its our anniversary, let's pig out!" To the contrary, I've been very careful. In the spirit of it being our anniversary, I did splurge on a little but of creme brule at dinner last night and a delicious glass of champagne. Neither of them added that much sugar or carbs to my overall count yesterday, but now that I am adding up the entire day's meals, I am shocked at how many calories I consumed.
Even still, that 1 glass of champers and the little desert is really causing me alot of stress and guilt because I know that desert was full of sugar and what is proably causing me to feel so bloated and fat. I guess I will need to pull out my workout clothes and go for a jog on the beach to burn some of it off! Also, I tend to drink a minimum of 64-80 oz of water a day. On vacation, that is just not as easy to do. At least not for me. So I think if I can work on getting more water in while were here, it will also help.

This has been my first week of Atkins. I am simply AMAZED at how well it has worked. My initial goal has been 166, which was about 12 lbs from my starting weight but at this rate, I think I may change it to 150 - which is how much I weighed about 10 years ago in my early 20's! I am just THRILLED with my results and very excited to keep going! My clothes are fitting me again and I feel so great about how I look. It's so encouraging and a huge relief to have found something that actually works for me! Giving up the bread and sugar and garbage food is just SO worth it. Although, I do still really miss pizza and diet coke......
