RUMBA

For those of you who has known me for over two years now, may know what i am talking about, but for those of you who dont, i have a very important message about making targets for yourself. Rumba is an aid that helps you check your goals for a reasonable vision, understandable notation, measurable targets, behavioral guidelines and finally an attainable goal. If the goal you set does not comply to these guidelines you are very lyable to failure. If the goal you set is not reasonable you will fall for any downfall you encounter. If it is not clear and understandable, you can misinterpreted at any weak moment. If it is not measurable, then how do you know you are there? If the goal doe not include behavior you are a victom of circumstance and people that think of themselves as victom are more likely to quit. And finally the target must be attainable, which has a lot to do with reasonable, but has a little nuance to it. climbing to the top of the eiffel tower can be a very reasonable goal, but it is not attainable since you can only climb up to the second floor and you have to take an elevator to the top ;)

R.

Reasonable:
A target should always be reasonable.
It is very hard to set an unreasonable target for yourself unless you have a distorted view on the present. But seriously, we all have a distorted view on life, dont we? scales contradict mirrors all the time! So now you have to figure out is my target really reasonable, or just my crooked mind?

examples of wrong targets:
1. i want to lose weight, but i do not want to change!
2. i want to lose 30 kilo, fast!
3. i want to look like angelina jolie.

examples of reasonable targets:
1. i want to lose weight!
2. i want to lose 30 kilo!
3. i want to be the best version of ME.

Ofcaurse all these targets are reasonable, but they are still not good targets. They may have the R. but not the "umba"

tomorrow i will explain what the U. stands for.

love maud.
