went to primary care doctor yesterday, my feet had been swelling a bit and I wanted to check my sodium and potassium and they are within normal okay but I have a high Hemoglobin A1C which means that my blood sugar is high so am back on metformin medication and will do EXACT CALORIE COUNTS and sodium counts, also taking a water pill too til my legs quit swelling. I may be an unusually compliant medical professional myself but I will and do comply. Onward and downward!

Well I finally hit the 200 mark, 20 pounds DOWN from where I started!!!! Need to go to see my doctor for some blood work though because my legs are swelling though I am keeping my sodium intake LOW. Think my electrolytes

losing 3.5 lb a week

Feeling better physically and am starting to exercise more inside and outside. Haven't deep cleaned my house since December when I got really REALLY sick but am recovered enough now that I don't get out of breath just walking across the floor, and went outside and put some plants in my container garden (16 25 gallon barrels) filled with compost, so will have some fun with that. and I have started too clean house "with a toothbrush"
Not really a toothbrush but DEEP clean all the corners, dust, clean windows, mop floors etc. one room a day as my old back won't let me do more but I am getting there.
Kitchen and dining room done, still working on living room but floor is wet so can't go back in there just yet, but took a nice walk outside. Our house is located inside the woods soit is absolutely beautiful in the spring with the wild flowers and my planted flowers blooming
Cooked another week's worth of STEEL CUT OATS which I eat with a small amount of skim milk to thin them a bit and 1/4 of a chopped up apple and a bit of brown sugar. Keeps you from feeling so hungry because it digests slowly and keeps your blood sugar up.
Being in "lock down" is not too bad for me and I have my son who lives with me and we farm together, though he has been doing most of the work since I have been ill, but am recovering now and getting to where I can help him now more.
The diet is doing fine, sort of stayed the same, no weight loss since I posted last but hope with more exercise building slowly that will change.
STAY SAFE folks, don't get down in the dumps about having to stay home, keep SAFE!

I have noticed that though I am on a VERY low sodium diet my legs have started to swell a bit so am taking some "water pills" Rx by my doctor back before I started on the low sodium diet (the amount of sodium I was eating was making my legs swell) so not sure now why having moderate edema in legs is going on. But that makes sense in why my "weight loss" was slower. Will keep an eye on it. In any case I am glad that I have now lost 18 pounds! I sure needed to get some of this lard off. LOL
I can now bend over enough to clip my own toe nails and haven't been able to do that for a while. Carrying most of my weight in my belly which of course is the worst place for it for health reasons.
Gold stars to me! Hip Hip Hoo-ray!!!!!
