Unfortunately I got the stomach flu over the weekend and had to miss a number of workouts, 4 to be precise. I got back at it today and was happy to see only a minimal strength loss but I attribute that to general fatigue more than anything.
I'm technically on W3D3 of SS8 and have been following the meal plan religiously. I actually shifted to Phase 3 of the diet, on Jim's recommendation, because the first two phases were a bit carb heavy for me. That seems to have been the ticket as I suddenly dropped a good number of pounds. It could have to do with sickness and lots of full-day projects around the house, but I'll take it!
I have a short-term goal of the end of July to lose another 10-15 lbs so here's hoping!

Started Week 2 of SS8 and going to shift to Phase 2 of the diet. I behaved myself on Memorial Day and stuck to the plan. Only exception was I skipped a single workout due to a deck building project. Hopefully the 10 hours of hammering and sawing made up for it!

Starting a new journey today. I'd been following a specific workout program author for many years but only just this last month decided to give his plan a try. He's starting his "Summer Shred" challenge. I figured it's only 2 months and the ending of it just so happens to coincide with family visiting from out of the country. I'm excited to see what results this program can bring especially since there may be some beach time involved near the end of it. Now there's my motivation!
