Need Encouragement? Ask me.
Okay, maybe I'm finally ready to start talking about my WW experiences. First of all, why WW? My husband and I started WW last fall and did pretty well but took "time-off" for the holidays and regained all the weight plus a few bonus pounds for good measure. Well, after a perfectly miserable trip to Destin, FL the last week in July, we promised we were going back to WW the weekend we returned. We did and there's been no looking back since. My picture you see is us in Destin and us yesterday, September 15. 5 weeks of WW and Chris has already reached his first 10% goal. As of weigh in today, he's lost 46.8 pounds. I have not yet reached my 10% goal but I have surpassed the amount of weight I lost previously on WW. I have lost 30.6 pounds so far and I can't tell you the physical difference it has made as far as being able to stand up and walk more at work (I'm a teacher). I feel like a million bucks! The better you feel, the easier it is to exercise. All I can say about WW is that it really works. I am the least diet friendly person in the world. I hate vegetables, only eat salads if the green is buried under an avalanche of Ranch dressing, and don't even get me started on the sweets and fried foods that I love. With WW I am satisfied and find that there can be tasty yet more health friendly alternatives to the truly horrible foods I was eating. The great thing about the points system is it really helps you control your portions and reprogram your mind to critically evaluate the foods you eat. It's helped me see some foods I had been living off of religiously as almost poison to my system. 21 grams of fat for a 6 inch BMT at subway (I would eat a footlong with double meat and cheese) is like death ala deli. Please, if you need encouragement, simply ask me. Email me, if you'd like. Manda7870@aol.com. I have so many embarrassing stories that illustrate my warped sense of body image that will make you laugh and cry. Like the total number of toilet seats I've broken, including actually cracking a public toilet off a wall. How about believing I was in the 200's for about 10 years because I didn't realize that the dial type scale has a maximum weight limit! My flight sideways in the reclining position on my honey moon to Vegas, yet another over-sized adventure. When you feel like you can't make it, contact me. I promise you can do it. If I can, you can. I'm under that 400 lb mark and I'm never going back. Good luck this week and God Bless you in your efforts.
