My name is Lynn. I'm 54 years old and have always had problems with my weight. This is my heaviest! I have been married almost 36 years, i have 2 grown children, and 2 lovely granddaughters, 7 yrs old Marcelina, and 20 month old Lillian Rose...I have been an employee for Walmart for 22 years now.We lie in Louisiana, right smack in the middle of the city that was destroyed by Katrina, 2005...We have gotten our home back in order, but our lives are still not the same...Losing our home was really had to deal with, but not as bad as dealing with the passing of my mother! She passed in June, , this year, and I'm still dealing with this daily..I'm ready to get healthy! It's long over due!

sugar substitutes?
Is it true that sometimes when consuming too much artificial sweetners, the body becomes confused and thinks the substitute sugars are the real thing, so if on Atkins, your weight loss will stop or slow down? Any truth? I drink lots of tea and fuze drinks, as I don't care much for plain water. Could this be why weight loss is slow????/////

Anyone need to lose over 100LBS???
That's wonderful! Way to go! PLease help with some pointers? Whats acceptable and what's not? I am desperate! New to this site, and looking for input on the atkins plan. My family tells me it's not safe, but I see it as something I can live with, and that's what I need!
