19 pounds lost in 5 weeks. It feels good but I want more. I know I should just be happy with where I am and how its going but I am just so sick and tired of being this fat. I've followed the LCHF diet very well keeping my carbs under 20 per day and usually under 10 per day but I have had people repeatedly tell me to allow myself a cheat/treat. I haven't been ready to do that yet. I have one more week of a Biggest Loser contest at work. I've consistently lost weight every week of the competition. Today the student council treated staff to a breakfast. I allowed myself a treat of a few ounces of Orange Juice. God it was glorious! I'm happy that I now see that as a treat instead of a huge raised doughnut covered with chocolate. I will allow myself some cheats after this competition is over but I refused to do anything more than that glass of OJ for now. I just wanted a firm 6 weeks of being strict on this diet before I allow much of a treat, I figure this way I will have a good grasp on what the consequences of my actions really are.

So the last week I've been craving Chicken and Broccoli from the oriental buffet. I told myself that having a cheat day would be ok and thats what I would have. After some thought I decided to buy some at the store instead and get twice as much for half the cost. I looked at them at the store and OMG the carbs!!! Bad choice. Being ok with a cheat or not I am not ok with that many carbs. Decision made...make homemade. So I threw some together and tried changing some things out for fewer carbs. The whole recipe was 50 carbs, so each cup of it was 5.5 carbs (big batch). After making it I looked online and found carb free soy sauce and realized that if I had use a bullion cube instead of the mix I use it would also have had less...you see my favorite part is the brown sauce. I accept the challenge to revamp the recipe and make it even lower carb and when I accomplish that I will definitely share the recipe with everyone!
