Journal #2: 2/4/10
Another weigh-in today and apparently I have gained almost a half a pound. Needless to say, I am not very happy about this...However, this past week or so has been a great opportunity for me to see exactly what kind of calories I have been consuming everyday. I can see places where I probably need to cut some things out. I admit, I was kind of hoping that just the act of consciously keeping up my food journal would yield some results, but I guess I was wrong. It just would of been nice to lose a half a lb instead of gaining it. And I guess i never really considered how many calories a few cocktails would contribute to my overall intake. lame. I hate dieting. I love to eat! And I equate delicious meals with celebrating life. I would still like to be able to enjoy it. Perhaps more exercise is in order.... Until nxt time. kdf

Journal #1. 1/26/10
ok so this is officially my FIRST entry. Yesterday, just for the hell of it, I stepped on the scale and was shocked to discover that I have gained 12lbs since last summer! So, I ate myself into oblivion last night and decided to start over. Up until now my journal entries have been vague and random. Today I start fresh. These journal entries are now documentation of my weight loss journey. I am ready to admit that I can't eat whatever I want and still look good. Also, I can't eat what I want and still fit into my favorite jeans. So today I begin. I am 5 feet tall, 145lbs and can barely squeeze into my size 29 jeans. My goal is to lose 20lbs. My doctor suggests that I get down to 115lbs, however, right now I will shoot for 20. Let the fat-burning begin....
