I'm here reading everyone's journals just to keep myself motivated! I could have went to the fridge and got something to eat which is what I wanted to do but I forced myself to come here instead! It's a step in the right direction....don't snack when your bored! I'm working on changing that bad habit! My goal is to keep working on this bad habit because I think it is a big one and will help with my goal to lose weight! Kayless

Today is Sunday and I'm still doing OK! Yesterday I cleaned out my fridge of all junk food and made it South Beach friendly. Can't wait to hit Phase II so I can add the fruits and whole grains back.... In the meantime I'm setting myself up to succeed! Today I am working on the cupboards...rearranging everything by putting the Phase I friendly foods to the front and Phase II friendly foods to the back. It's a new life stlyle so I shouldn't need the junk foods anymore. I did put the sugar free fudgicles and sugar free jello and pudding to the front of the fridge and you guessed it.....I have chocolate flavored!!...lol To bad they don't have chocolate flavored jello!...lol I have all my crystal lite, bottled water and diet 7-up and diet sierra mist to the front of the fridge! Also found some diet Lipton Green tea that I just love. I hope this will help and that it solves some of my problems. I am starting a food journal, too! kayless

I'm really excited because I just bought the new South Beach Heart Program Book and I'm really enjoying reading it! Also got a new Woman's World magazine today and it has the new Unauthorized South Beach Shake Diet.....I read where South Beach is coming out with their own South Beach shake real soon! I'm excited because it will really help me just grab a shake for breakfast and then I'm out the door without cooking(don't have the time) I'll also be able to subsitute a shake if I don't have time to cook at supper time. With my job I'm on the run for lunch, too. Crazy days for now but should slow down soon. I look forward to the convenience of a shake. I also bought some of their South Beach frozen meals and have liked what I have tried so far. Maybe this diet can work for me after all. I'm looking for something that I can stay on for life. I want a healthy eating plan so I can lose the weight and feel and look healthy for life. That's why I'm also trying to change my eating habits, too. Better sign off for now. Kayless

I'm just checking in because it does help to write in my journal! I'm doing better with the water intake and trying to stay more active, too. Can't wait for it to warm up a bit so I can walk outside. I'm not a cold weather person so I tend to hibernate in the winter months. Trying to ride the exercise bike more to replace walking outside. My goal for the week was to drink at least 7-8 glasses of water per day and I have done that so far. That in itself is an accomplishment for me because I never use to drink much water at all. I was probably dehydrated at times because I just never realized how important it is to drink the water. Also happy to say "It's Friday!" Kayless
