Don't think of it as a diet... it's not... it's a lifestyle change. Don't give up the things you love, just eat less of it. I didn't give up burger and fries, I just tried to learned to quit when I was full and before I knew it a 1/2 burger and a few fries were fine and then somewhere along the ride I no longer craved those things at all. Thinking I could never have something again made me want it more and twice as much of it. Knowing I can have it if I really want it sort of made me want it less... I know how tuff it is, it's taken me a 1 1/2 yrs to lose and keep off 50+ lbs. In the meanwhile I've taken my time to figure out what's good for me and what's not and am amazed at how my taste buds have changed and how much my attitude is. Don't get me wrong, some days are still a struggle but overall much easier to handle not being on a diet. Try reading Geneen Roths book "Women Food & God". The thrust of the book is to Eat what you want, when you want it, but only eat what you want and quit when you are full". Good luck.

Oh no!!! I'm craving something....popcorn. Don't let me give in to the beast!!
ADDICTED! That's the only word I can come up with. Love popcorn and could eat it for breakfast lunch or dinner and have. I think I'll be able to refrain and then before I know it I'm standing at the stove popping away. I have stopped buying processed popcorn but still can't resist the smell of fresh popped corn. At 55 calories a cup for oil popped corn a couple of cups is not a bad snack, it's the fact that I can't stop at 1 or 2, more like 4-10 cups. I' weined off burger, fries, pizza, and most bad-for-me items over the last year and 1/2 but just can't give up the popcorn. I wonder if there is a popcorn addicts forum???

Keeping up with water intake
For me I fill up a 64 oz container and pour off out of it throughout the day... then drink water at lunch which then puts me at least 80oz +/- a day...
the problem though is then I have to go to the bathroom every 30-45 minutes. While I like drinking water it Drives me crazy at work because I'll just get into a workflow and off I run (literally) to pee, then have to regroup to only do it again in a few minutes. Still trying how to figure how to drink more and pee less but so far haven't come up with anything.

I agree as well... lost 50+ lbs changing some eating habits but not necessarily giving up on everything. Tried to adopt the eating guidelines of "eat when i'm hungry and quit when I'm full" method along with adding some exercise. It came off very slowly over the course of a year. Still working at it but yes it's my lifestyle now and has never been a diet.

My Butt
OMG... I thought it was just me. I just told my husband recently that I didn't know how skinny girls did it, that after losing 50lbs, most apparently in my butt, because i feel like I'm sitting on my tail bone all day. It is getting better now, or I'm finally adjusting to it.
