Got on the scale today and looked down cautiously.....lost 2 pounds!...Yeah!
And this past week was rough. I was on a new medication and I broke out in a mild case of hives. At first I thought it was my diet, but all my meals were the same. After three days of mild hell (sever irritability and itching), all was better. I'm looking forward to hitting the 190s. And for me, that will be a first since grade school!

I lost another pound!....yeah!.....I'm slowly approaching my goal, and it feels good! So everyone out there, it's possible to keep at; just stay focus on the prize. Some tips I want to share that really helped me were to "keep it simple". In other words, try not to eat any unnecessary foods, even if it's low carb. However, I do use some sugar free and non calorie products, such as Smucker's Sugar Free preserves and Walden Farms chocolate syrup. But, understand that I use these products very sparingly, just a tablespoon once a day. Usually, all I need is a taste just to keep me satisfied. However, my main menu consists of, just meat (eggs, poultry, and fish) and vegetables (like green beans, cauliflower, spinach, leafy salads, *minus the onions and carrots*), but I also include olives, cucumbers, garlic, and very small amount of tomato. I wouldn't recommend eating any grains (definitely not until you reach your weight loss goal). And you should be having at least 3 meals a day (small mini meals throughout the day is OK). But, DO NOT SKIP MEALS, even if you're not hungry. Skipping meals can stress your body, causing a lack of weight loss. And when you do eat, watch those portions. A regular portion size should be enough in one setting, but don't splurge or overeat. You'll be defeating the purpose of what you've been trying to achieve. Also, treat diet pop or any other diet drink like a single glass of wine. Water should be your main source of fluid in take, and drink plenty of it. Also, don't eat late a night unless you really have to. And most important, keep moving! Exercise is a must for your body, heart, and over all health. The extra side benefit is weight loss. Personally, I exercise just 5 days a week for 45 minutes on my treadmill, and I then take the weekend off. However, I do sneak in a little bit of exercising during the weekend by doing some walking by the lake. I'm also planning on purchasing a bike very soon. Biking on the weekends would be a fun way to sneak in a little bit of exercise. But of course, before beginning any exercise regime, make sure you consult with your doctor. Well, that's it for now...and keep on keepin' on! :-)
By the way, thanks for your comments.

Still going at it!
Yes, only a pound lost, but I'm still following my regimen carefully, while still exercising faithfully. So, all is well, and I'm looking forward to more weightloss, albeit, slowly.

My weight loss has been going fantastic! I always know when I'm in fat burning mode, because I get what you might call moments of feeling hot. It's almost like a slight fever. I guess some might call it "hot flashes". LOL
One day, I had a bit too much carbs and I didn't feel any hot flashes that day. When I got on the scale the next day, sure enough, it didn't move. However, whenever I have a day of "hot flashes". It always shows up the next day as either a pound or more lost. So something is going on concerning the body's metabolism. I just call it the fat burning process.
