Absolutely not. I think a lot of people really do get an endorphin rush from exercise, and for them, they can't contemplate why others don't "just move".
But for others - myself included - and it sounds also like you, it's just sheer torture.
It's all about finding something that works for you. I'm entirely too busy and stressed out to do something I abjectly hate. I'm mature enough now to know that if I just detest it, I'm not going to do it. I had the great idea that I was going to ride my recumbent bicycle while watching TV. I had several shows I was watching at the time, and even if it was only one or two hours a week, then that was still more than I was doing. And that has to be an improvement, right?
And . . . you know what happened? ALL of them went off the air. ALL OF THEM.
So much for that idea. (It was a good one, while it lasted).
