My 'diet' went really well last week. I haven't taken any extreme measures to lose 6 pounds. For me, the best results come when I plan meals (which takes very little effort for me), eat more fruits and vegetables and less processed foods, watch my portion sizes, and most importantly, log everything I eat to make sure I don't sneak in any extras here and there. Also, I didn't eat out as much. I did not exercise as I was sick with a sinus infection for most of the week.
Yesterday I asked my girlfriend to be my wife (and she said yes). We are planning an August wedding so hopefully this will give me an incentive to lose weight. Now I can actually set a goal and work towards it, I seem to lose weight better when I have an actual and realistic goal.

Today is a good day, well actually yesterday was. I ran my FIRST half marathon. I have been training for it since February. My time was 2hr42m, at a pace of about 12m23s min/mile. I was very pleased. This was by far the hardest run I'v ever been on. There was a 4 mile section of hills, with about a mile of that being a 10% ascending grade. It was exhausting, but very rewarding to cross the finish line.
I have stopped logging food on here. I am not actively trying to lose weight, I am trying to maintain, while continuing to monitor my weight every couple days. I have actually done fairly well and have even lose a few more pounds. If I see my weight start to creep up, I plan to start being more diligent with logging food and what not.
I will take a week off from my running and then I am going to begin training for a 15 mile run on Labor Day weekend. This run has a pretty serious hill section in it as well, harder than the course I ran yesterday.
