Well it was -13 degrees here this morning , no school for the kids and I got lucky and took the day off work.
Had an awesome girls day with my daughter , we went shopping and got my Grandma a gift for her Birthday party friday and then my daughter got to have a small Justice shopping spree. Days like that are so fun with her. She said " Mommy I love you , this was the BEST snow day EVER " !
Her and I went out to lunch at Japanese steakhouse and I proved to myself that I can go out and eat and even if the portion on my plate is HUGE I dont have to eat it all. I ate salad and half a cup of Miso soup ( which is all broth anyway ) and then ate alittle bit of rice and half of my rice and veggies. And 2 glasses of water . When I was feeling full I STOPPED. If you knew the old me , I never would have stopped , I would have just kept eating and eating and eating. Willpower feels good : )
I feel good , this is the new me, better choices all the time.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I am having some MAJOR anxiety about dinner arrangements on friday evening...
It is my Grandmas 80th birthday and we are having a surprise dinner party for her at a very upscale restaurant. I haven't been eating out at restaurants, much easier to stay on track at home with meals I cook myself.
I looked up the menu for the restaurant today and think there are a few good choices. I am just going to have to show alot of restraint.
Last time we had a dinner like this the appetizers were ordered and lined the table for all to share and the wine just kept coming . Just the way things tend to go in a huge Italian family.
And dessert ....... Uggghhhh that will be a whole other event.
Wish me luck ... My weigh in in Saturday morning so I definatly do NOT wanna mess up

Hi everyone ...
Hope you are all starting your weeks off well and healthy.
I was off work today so I went and bought myself a cute little trendy lunch bag. I came to the conclusion that I need to plan and pack a good lunch for work everyday because my small slipups have occured on days when I didnt do that. Soooo thats part of my plan.
Bought the stuff and made a batch of my unstuffed cabbage soup ... I figured thats a low cal and filling lunch that will work to alternate with salads on other days. I also plan to cut my carbs even more and up more protein . And drink WATER WATER WATER ...
My mind and my heart are set on winning this battle once and for all.
