Week 2:
Hot Stone Therapy class last weekend was great. I learned a whole new modality, I can't wait to offer it to my clients. The feeling of hot stones on tight muscles is simply incredible. I must say I was skeptical going there, but I definitely changed my mind! My quads and hamstrings were quite sore from the workouts last week, and felt totally relieved at the end of the practice.
As a therapist I also see the load of tension on my wrists decreasing when I use the stones, as the heat "works" for me to release the tight tissues. Now, I need 10 bodies to do my practicum and get my certification, anyone interested?
Monday: rest + 1.30 hour walk.
Tuesday: 5 rounds of: (500 m row + 20 pushups + 20 squats) + 4 pullups + 1 hour walk.

Thursday: for time: 1000 m row + 100 pushups + 100 squats + 100 situps + 1h walk
Friday: Rest + 1h walk

Monday Morning.
Everything went as planned: I passed! Theory 97% Practice 97%. All went very well and I am happy to be done with studies for a little while.
My next course starts on April 8th, but it's an online neuroscience course, that I take for my personal knowledge. Beside the Hot Stone massage certification this weekend, I will have my weekends free until September.
Now I can focus on cleaning the house, packing my stuff and start moving. Business set up, paperwork and business licence are on the menu too. The best part is I can now spend time exercising and you have no idea how happy I am about this!
I didn't eat so well this weekend, today I am back at it. Last night I met my friends for a drink, to celebrate St Patrick day and my exams. It was a fun night, we only had one beer and it was enough for me. I was tired. My friends had invited me on Saturday night for supper, but after the first day of exams I came home and found myself exhausted. I fell asleep on the couch at 7.30! I'm glad I had the energy to go last night, it felt good to celebrate and have a laugh with the girls.
Time to go to work. I really don't feel like working for the company anymore, but I have to hang in there a little longer.
Have a great Monday buddies!

Friday afternoon.
I'm home, reviewing all my class material before the finals tomorrow. I am confident. I just went on "testrun online" the website where I can test my knowledge and my marks are very good.
Yesterday was my last day of practicum. Next time I am at the clinic I will be a Registered Massage Therapist! I already have business cards made.
This weekend is the finals, next weekend is the certification for Hot Stone Massage. After that I will need volunteers to practice the Hot Stone Therapy. Buddies why are you all living so far away?
I decided to bring the rower in the house. Since I bought my little car last month, it sits in the garage ad I have less room for the fitness equipment. The weather is back to winter and I need to get started with my running plan. I rowed yesterday and I'm planning on rowing again tonight once I'm done with readings and tests.
Eating well, staying away from sugar but I had an apple yesterday. Fruit is good of course but when I cut sugar off my diet it's better to stay away from fruits for a while. It's however very convenient as a snack with almond butter...
Well, time to get back to work.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Wednesday morning.
I joined the 12 weeks challenge here on FS, it started on Monday. So far I've been doing well. I stayed away from sugar, I took long walks with the dog (1 hour a day) and overall I have been eating fairly well. I didn't take measurements yet, I'm waiting for my period to be gone. Measurements wouldn't be accurate.
Next week is the real start, after the finals I will be totally back on track. Starting a running program, I may not be able to run outside because of the snow and ice, I will use the rower to build up some endurance.
Yesterday I was so sick I didn't work outside, I had animals to identify but those bison are way too hard to handle if I am not 100% well. I stayed inside, did some paperwork, finally got the taxes done, studied and took a long nap. I walked the dog twice and did one hour of yoga, it felt really good. This morning I am ready to go back to work.
Time to get dressed, walk the dog and go chase bison! Have a great day buddies!
