Just FYI...if anyone happens to glance at my food diary and notices that I eat odd things at odd times of the day (ex: veg. medley for breakfast)...I am a 3rd shift nurse. It is inevitable that I will be eating my dinner at night when I work. So, what I do is wait until after midnight to eat, and I count that as breakfast for the day. Then, when I get home in the morning, I will eat a light snack. If I am really hungry when I get home I count it as lunch. Working nights is really hard! Since I am a nurse, I work 3 12 hour shifts a week, so my body, schedule, and the times when I eat vary a lot so I am trying to find the best way to do this. I know that it's not good to eat at night, and when I am not working I have been doing fairly well at cutting that out. But, like I said, I don't exactly have a "normal" schedule. Are there any other 3rd shifters out there who have this problem?? What do you do?
