2nd Goal: 275lbs
3rd Goal: 250lbs
4th Goal: 225lbs

I have become very motivated to change the way I eat and the way I live my life. This isn't a fad, or a trend, these are changes we all need to make to our lifestyle. We can do it all together, with the support from each other. Feel free to add my as a buddy if you'd like. I would love to push other people to better themselves and would love other people to push me more and more every day.

UPDATE: So I have challenged my best friend to run a half-marathon with me. We have set a general goal of July 2010 as our goal date to run. This should be interesting. Some people have already asked why I am doing it? Losing weight is a good complimentary result of the training, but I am doing this for me. For the people who would think I couldn't do it. Should be fun. I'm not going for some world record, just completion.

Here's mine:

1.) Strutting into my 30th high school reunion looking like a babe! Smile
2.) Wearing a size 6 or 8 again!
3.) Walking up stairs without getting winded.
4.) Having more energy to keep up with my surrogate grandkids - all the toddlers on my street
5.) Tucking in my shirts cause I won't be trying to hide my belly and rear! Sad
6.) Buying a bunch of new clothes.
7.) Looking more like what I feel like on the inside
8.) Being a "trophy" for my wonderful husband again
9.) Being the "hottest" mom among my kids friends (they're grown now)
10.) Just being proud that I said I was going to do this and I did.

#9 really bothered me, the thought of that made me shiver...

keep going you are doing great!

p.s. i'm allowed to say these things, it's my mother. haha.

Here are my 10 reasons why I am doing this:

1) Be healthy.
2) Motivate my family to achieve their weight goals
(mom and sister are doing great, dad has a 12 month
head start)
3) Run a 5k
4) Run a half marathon
5) Reduce my track weight (my car's weight at the
track) - Yes, I like cars.
6) Being proud I did what I said I was going to do.
7) Make the women swoon (ok, maybe that is a haha
funny)
Cool Because people didn't think I could/would
9) So I can buy clothes because I like them, not
because they are my size
10) For me

low excercise level
I completely agree with fkjr2. I would definitely suggest a minimum 1500 calorie diet, if not 1800. You have to remember that your body is going to burn 3,000 calories if you just lie in bed all day...and do nothing. So if you keep a caloric intake of 1800 calories (good calories, fiber, protein, good carbs) then you will still see some loss. Additionally, if you don't keep your water intake where it should be then your body will retain its water to help prevent dehydration, thus the term 'water weight'.

Keep strong, you can do it.

Also, in addition to what has already been said, don't forget that since you are working out you a)burning more calories and b)building lean muscle. Both of which are great when done properly. If you burn too many calories working out then your body won't have enough to function properly and will go into starvation mode. If you want to continue working out this way, I would suggest increasing your calorie intake to 1800-2000. I know this isn't waht most people want to hear, but in order to continue your workouts as you are doing you will need more energy. The extra protein or fiber you intake in a day will also help to rebuild your muscles faster which, in turn, will burn more calories when you aren't working out. So it is definitely a delicate balance.

I would suggest trying for a week to continue your exercise routine and increase your calories by a few hundred. Then, the next week try keeping your calories the same (1400-1500) and working out 50-60% of what you currently do. See what works, everyone's body works differently so we all have to do what is best for our bodies.

Most of all remember, you can do it. This isn't about today, or tomorrow, it is about the rest of your life. Keep it up.
