losing 0.7 lb a week

Oh my lord! I did it! I made it through week 1 of induction. And I lost just under 10 lbs!! I was so scared to get on the scale this morning. If I had only lost 1 lbs after this
MAJOR
change in my diet I probably would have felt defeated, quit and gone out and got waffles. I've worked so hard and followed the phase one rules 100%. I know I can get through another week! If this isn't motivation then I don't know what is!
Weigh-in:
194.9 lb
lost so far:
9.4 lb
still to go:
49.9 lb

Day 5. I was doing decently until I got to work and my
FAVORITE
cupcakes were made specifically for my team. Not kidding - I live for these cupcakes! This is soooo hard. By far the hardest temptation this week. I've already started telling myself it's ok to cheat - if not with cupcakes then with dinner. These cupcakes are ruining my life! HELP!!!

Crisis and dieting do not go hand in hand
.
So last nite my dog got sprayed by a skunk while my dinner had 5 mins left to cook - pan seared and baked pork loin and brussels sprouts roasted with bacon. Yah, it was a double pork nite. I was already starving as I've found that I have to eat like every hour now for some reason. Obvi I had to put dinner on hold and bathe my dog a billion times and try not to vomit from the smell of roast pork and skunk spray (burning tires). My poor doggy, who is my world got sprayed so bad in the eyes that I had to take him to the ER. I managed to weigh out, track and eat my food before I went as I was dying at that point (9:30). I was at 1120 cals and 15 net carbs! That is not enough! I'm allowed 20 and darnit I'm getting my 20. And 1100 cals! I'm not trying to starve myself! Anyhow, I get out of the vet at around 11:30. I went to Kroger because I needed febreeze and many bottles of it. It had been over 2 hours since I ate so I was needing a snack as I was not sleeping. Of course inside kroger is nothing but valentine candy and carby yummy things. LORD!!! I wanted chocolate and a cookie sooooo bad. I even said to myself that I could eat a cookie and no one would know. Like those are thinks drug addicts say! Carbs are an addiction. I know that loud and clear. I got home and ate some cheese because there was no way I was going to have a 1100 cal day when it's not necessary. I finished with only 1280 cal and 17 net carbs which is still too little for me. Overall I did do really good for being on day 3 of induction but man! Dieting while in crisis mode is a super challenge!!!

Day 3. Still going strong. It's so curious how when you tell people you are on atkins there response is always "i tried that, all you eat is meat and cheese. You better get some bacon!" I've been eating so many veggies it's not even funny. I did the research and the 20 net carbs you get a day are supposed to be made up of mostly green veggies. I'm actually eating healthier than I ever had. All three days though I've really craved sweets around 4:30 - dinner time. I haven't caved though. I know those cravings will go away. Until then I'm staying true to the induction phase and feeling good about it!
