So I got pizza on Friday and kind of ate on it all weekend, which wasn't good. I went and gave blood on Saturday, which meant I couldn't work out on Saturday.
Sunday however, I went down to see my step mom finish the Houston Marathon. I'm standing near the finish, watching all these people some young, some a lot older then me finish 26.2 miles. I was standing there getting all emotional for them. It's a heck of a journey to finish something like that. Only 1% of all people will ever complete a marathon. It's inspiring to tell you the truth. I think i'm going to try and find a 5K to sign up for, and make it a personal goal to get ready for it. We all have to start somewhere.

Good Morning all.. or just me since it seems i'm the only one who reads these things.
Had a good workout yesterday, ran for 5 minutes without stopping.. did another 2 intervals of 3 minutes and 2 more at 2 minutes. I know some people are runners.. i've never been a runner.. but i'm going to work myself up to it. My lungs protested before my legs did, they don't like this cold weather. I did a total of 60 minutes of cardio, I probably should of done more. I was ready to go home though. Tonight i'm thinking I may do some running on the indoor track upstairs, so that I don't get too spoiled by the treadmill. There is a step class starting at 6 I may stick around for. Haven't made up my mind on that one yet.
Overall.. followed my diet to the point. I'm proud of myself, i'm usually trying to cheat by now. :) Go Me.

Hmm.. I will not continue to weigh my self everyday.. i've just been doing so this week because I wanted to see how my work outs were affecting my body. I did a total of 70 minutes of cardio last night.. 11 of it running.. 10 of it on the elyptical.. and the rest walking. Stuck to my diet, wasn't hungry.. didn't starve myself.. got my water in.. did some light push ups and Calisthenics.. and I lost 1 pound in one day.. to me that's good..
My overall goal is to make sure I have at least a 1500 calorie burn for the day after food is factored in. Yesterday it was 3000... so i'm thinking that my new goal is going to be somewhere in the middle. Because I have two days out of the week that i go to school, so i won't be able to get as much of a work out in. I will still try and so something like Taebo when I get home.. but I won't be able to utilize the gym the way I would like to. Were off to a great start. That's 5 lbs in 1 week.. with me cheating over the weekend. Imagine what I could do if I stopped cheating myself.

I normally don't weigh in everyday.. but since I weighed in midday yesterday. I wanted to get a closer weight. Did good at the gym yesterday. 35 Minutes on the Elyptical, and 25 minutes on the treadmill.
Edit: 9:34am... ha ha ha ha ha ha.. I just read the requirements for my Kinesology Class. Well... I wanted motivation and a reason to stick with it.. and I got it. It's required for you to work out at least 4 times a week. Starting at 10 minutes per work out.. that doesn't include a warm up and cool down. It works up to 40 minutes. Granted I did an Hour last night.. it's just different when you have to do it.. or you won't get a grade.
The options for the Mandatory final are a 30 Minute Jog, 3 mile walk, or a 30 Minute Stationary Bike Ride. I already know I could do the walk, and the bike ride as well. My first thought was.. your nuts.. if you expect me to jog for 30 minutes. Then I stopped and thought about it.. and realized that i'm trying to give myself a pass again. To take the easy way out. If my goal is to lose 3 pounds a week for every week between now and my birthday. I need to set a goal for myself that is actually going to be a challenge. So I think i'm going to go for the 30 minute Jog. The most i've ever jogged in my life was 10 minutes.. and that was hard. My step mom is doing a Marathon in 12 days .. 26.2 miles. That's a goal that is a long.. long way in the future. I'd like to be able to do something like that in my lifetime though. My goal is to get under 200. I want to try and do it as a birthday present to myself. To have a kick ass summer, and feel better and look better. It's a lot to bite off... but i'm confident that having it all tied in with everything will help to keep me on track. I've invested money in this class, and if I don't do well it affects my GPA.. So.. Wish me Luck. Were gonna hit the gym again tonight. Try for a 10 minute jog.
