So with all this weight loss going on, I forsee a bad day for me tomorrow. I'm going to be driving 2.5 hours with both of my children(who hate the car) to a friend's house for her birthday. She is doing a cocktail party at her house, everyone is to bring their favorite drink to share and their favorite appetizers to share. If I have a major weakness (besides chocolate cake) it's appetizers...I mean who doesn't live for the cocktail hour at a wedding, that's the food that really matters. So all of my temptations will be there at this party. So my thinking is, I can have one day where I eat bad foods, but I'm just going to have to control the urge to overeat all of the yummy foods.
On a more disciplined note...
My husband bought me a spa package for Christmas, I think that I am going to reward myself when I hit goal #2 by taking a spa day :)

So in addition to doing P90X, I've been looking for little ways to get my heart rate up during the day, since I am at a desk the majority of my day (unless I'm at a client's house sitting on their couch). So I work on the 1st floor of a 2 floor building, everytime I have to go up the stairs, I've decided I'm going to run up them instead of walk. It might just be a little change but it's a change and I have to get comfortable with change if I am going to succeed at losing any weight :)

So I'm on day 10 of P90X. Have lost 6lbs since it's commencement. I had a bad few days this weekend with birthdays and Christenings. If I have a major weekness it's chocolate cake. The past few days I have noticed that I'm wanting to eat more...not out of hunger, but out of boredom...sometimes at work if I'm just sitting at my desk doing desk work I'm looking to keep my mouth busy. I tried drinking water but it's not doing it for me. Well today I discovered that I'm drinking a lot of black tea with splenda and it seems to be keeping me from wanting to eat more. I guess the water just has a lack of flavor and I'm looking for more. I'll keep trying with the tea and see how it works.
