I have lost over 100 pounds, yet no one reads what I write here. No one comments. There's no one on here to LISTEN to anyone who may be having a problem. So what good is this place? Not very much good here for me. I do like the tracker, but could do the same or even better with a notebook, calculator, pen, and calorie book/website. So what if it takes more time?

You people are not focused on what is really happening on this web site. You are only focused on yourselves and your little weight loss clique groups. Lots of hurting, lonely people on this web site who will never even get a hello, much less a thoughtful response from any of you. A positive response or two could really help. However, I am tired of waiting for it.

Karma will bite you all. I hope I am here to read about it. I'll go back behind the curtains, so to speak, and observe/read this site in the background... quiet as a mouse. You won't even know I'm here.

YOUR BASAL METABOLIC RATE (BMR):

1114 Calories

YOUR DAILY CALORIE NEEDS TO
MAINTAIN CURRENT WEIGHT:

1337 Calories

I did the math and I am not eating enough. This is why my blood pressure is low. Another web site said 1430 calories per day. Back in the 70s when I was actively anorexic and decided it was time to up my calories, I did calculations from some book and they said 1430 per day, and this amount worked beautifully for me to maintain 110 pounds for 2 years. Then. I got pregnant, and the fat circus began.

I am going with the higher number. I don't want to damage my heart. YES, I know I am older, but it's the same body and I believe this will work.

I TOLD the doctor that I had been eating 1000 calories a day, or less. TOLD her I was anorexic. Jesus, what else do I have to say to get help? Is it because I am 64 and she thinks old people don't get eating disorders?

I'd bet money I know more about medical issues than she does. I guess I am gonna have to do this on my own.

Saw the doctor today. Weighed 114 with clothes and shoes. This was my first time in a doctor's office in about 5 years. Yeah, I know. But I have made a promise to myself to do better. I had no choice but to go today because I have 2 pressure sores on my almost non existent butt... no fat there! Had to go on antibiotics for that. I also have SHINGLES on my left side along my rib cage.

The doctor was well pleased with my weight loss and said 110 pounds was a good weight for me, so I guess I am on maintenance! My blood pressure was good... 112/55 and I also had my thyroid tested while I was there.I will be making an appointment for what they call a complete wellness checkup after I talk to my insurance.

Doctor also said I look healthy! I couldn't wait to get home and tell my room mates who are almost constantly (it seems)telling me a woman my age (64)needs to weigh more because of her age, and asking if I ate, what I ate, I need to eat more etc. I am glad they care (one of them is my son) but I am listening to my DOCTOR.

I went through hell while losing this weight (my daughter died at my feet and my fiance was beaten and made to leave from where we were staying, cuz I lost my home and most of my belongings, and kinda inherited my 10 year old granddaughter too after my daughter passed.) Haven't heard from the fiance since he left running.

But I am in a good, happy situation now. I just highly resent anyone trying to tell me I am doing the wrong thing. I KNOW my body well. I told my doctor I have anorexic tendencies still as I was anorexic in my 20s. She wrote it in my chart but did not seem concerned? Probably because I am far from being skin and bones even at 5 feet tall and 110 pounds!

Like my doctor said, I look healthy! Just let me do my thing and track my food. Maybe I'll eat some of the food prepared for everyone, and maybe I'll eat something different to save calories. Why do people think that is so bad?
Have any of you got family who try to tell you that you have lost too much weight and try to get you to eat?

LOL,I wrote a book.
