Oh I am beating myself up today.. I gave in to a piece of cake. Our library (next to where I work) always has cake on Friday. I have been able to resist for the past couple months.. I usually give my piece to someone else.. but today, it was one of my weaker moments, I stred at this orange sherbert looking cake, and thought. well just a taste.. I know better.. just a taste is like just one drink for an alcoholic!..

One taste led to another.. then another.. then, oh heck.. finish it.. and I did. Sighh. at least today I just had a very small meat patty and some lettuce. for lunch. and I did exercise this morning.

Problem is, now I am wanting more sugar. so.. I am thinking, perhaps I need to either do a cleanse, or for sure get to the store and get some apples, oranges, and strawberries that my diet allows.

The past week is like I have plateaued out.. I am not gaining, but I am not losing either. So, I am a little bit discouraged. I want to see the scales dropping like I did when I first started the HCG diet the first part of it... Arrrghh.

Thinking if after my month that I am supposed to be on the strict part that I do not lose, I may switch to a different type of diet? Anyway.. I am looking forward to the weekend.. Nothing special planned but it is nice to have some time off from work.

Well, I took some time off as per the protocol for the HCG diet plan. It worked out well since it gave me time to plan to start all over again during the Memorial Day Weekend. (Second round of HCG diet)

I got to enjoy the favorites such as potato salad and BBQs. For my Birthday dinner the night before, I had my hubby take me to Braums, where I had a small hamburger, french fries and a wonderful caramel hot fudge pecan Ice Cream Sundae as my final splurge meal. I have not had Ice cream for well over a month. It was delicious. and I feel that I can stick with the strict part of the diet for another 30 (-) days till Fourth of July weekend, and lose some more weight as I did the first time around.

In retrospect, I can see why this diet is a good one for me. I see the results, it disciplines me to watch the size of my food portions, as well as limiting my choices so less chance of messing up. With the drops I do not feel hungry, so the small amounts are tolerable.

It challenges me to be creative, so I do not become bored with my meals. Today, I missed my lunch, but that is probably ok. I ended up having a snack before dinner. so I think I did alright.
