I didn't just fall off of the wagon, I leaped from the speeding train. The last 11 days have been insanely out of control! We hosted 2 large family group BBQs. I have eaten well outside of my normal lifestyle most days! I have demonstrated why I have rules for myself about what foods are in my house. Like an alcoholic I can't eat just 1 serving of sweet and salty snacks and desserts. Once I get started with the excuses, I have a million of them. The weight gain is irritating but not insurmountable. I have experienced the food hangover and remember why I don't eat like that anymore.

The positives are starting another year healthier than the last one. I haven't skipped exercise during the binge. I have a firm grasp on why I don't eat that way now. All laundry, bedding and floors are done. Apparently guilt is a trigger to getting chores finished.

I am amazed that I felt this crappy for so many years! I didn't realize how much better I could feel by changing my WOE! Back on track today. Going to lift in an hour. I am seeing my way back from the dark side much sooner and the visits are much further apart.

Blessings on all of you for your honesty and modeling a variety of healthy lifestyles. The way is frequently a winding path with pauses and teaching moments thrown in for extra interest!

Had a wonderful 3 day birthday celebration with family and friends. Ate everything, walked miles, talked late into the night. August is birthday month Granddaughter 22, Son in law 43, 2 daughters 44 and 52 and mine 67 and daughter's MIL. Also youngest daughter's wedding anniversary 23 yr. From noon Friday until Sunday evening Celebration! Boothill museum, dinner and show was incredible. Sunday church followed by BBQ of all things Meat and salads followed by homemade brownie cake and ice-cream.

There was too much of everything except, never too much family time including the large dog cousins.
The weight gain is obviously due to fantastic foods and salt excess. I'm not concerned, back to normal eating and exercise, all will be well.

Thanks to all of you who model these things in such a a healthy way! I no longer freak out over the ounces that go along with healthy living. Here today gone next week.

Blessings on your healthy lifes and your journey to live comfortably with food.

Happy Dancing Day!
Fat % below 40% =39.9%. Goal weight of 190# met 6 days before birthday goal date! Down 108# & 18% BF. Feeling pretty awesome about it. Still have pounds and inches to go, but I've done a lot in the last 2yr and 11 months. Not to shabby for almost 67 years old.

Spent 7.5 hours on my feet shopping with my teen Granddaughter yesterday. No way I could have done half that even a year ago. The water aerobics and weights are paying off for me. Again progress but not destination, still chugging!

I give thanks daily for all of the wonderful people on FS! I know that you all are a big part of this success. The support, laughter and tears that we share make it possible and real to Live a better, healthier life. Understanding that the ups and downs on and off of the scale, are just part of the process not the whole journey gives me strength to live my best life!

May your journey be as Blessed as I feel today!

I've been trying to make myself stay off of the scale for for the past several weeks. Body shape is changing. I am able to lift heavier and move better. I repeat frequently to myself, muscle weighs more than fat . Really trying not to be ruled by the scale.
I have gone from mostly sedentary to active. The water aerobics and lifting have become the skeletons around which I plan the rest of my life.
I've started to limit my non-moving time to no more than 1 hour at a time until late evening. Excited to be getting projects Done, that I have put off for years.
Next new habit to cultivate, earlier to bed earlier to rise. We will see how it goes. I have always been a night owl.
All of these changes would surely have been easier to make 30 years ago. Oh well, it is Now and the changes Are Happening.
Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and support. You don't know how many times you are the motivation to someone who is struggling. Please keep posting your difficulties and triumphs. They may be the life blood of someone else's success!
Blessings on you all.
Have a wonderful weekend!
