Last night, my husband and I decided to go out to the Jazz Studio for a couple of hours. Had a Great time, especially since it's not his regular off day!
I wore a dress that I hadn't worn in a long time and felt wonderful in it! Before we left, my son came in and started whistling at me....which, of course, made me do my "runway" thing. LOL
My other son said,
Whoa, mom
.....I see Stella Got Her Groove Back (title of a movie). :-) He told his dad that he'd better hold on tight. My husband said...Don't worry fellas, I got this! LOL
What would I do without my guys?!! :-) They always make me feel like a Million bucks!
While at the studio, I had a couple of Strawberry Daiquiris (truly not caring about the caloric value) and some raw veggies & cocktail shrimp to help keep me on my feet. LOL
Thank goodness I'm in a couple of FS workout Challenges or I would've been tempted to blow-off my exercise today! :-)
It's gorgeous out today and I really enjoyed my early morning walk; however, I think I'm going to spend the rest of the day slumming on the back patio, catching up on some reading. With a hectic work schedule ahead, I'd better take advantage of this peace & quiet while I can! Other than checking-in on FS, of course, (lol) I'm planning on doing Absolutely Nothing! :-)
Hope everyone is enjoying a Happy Sunday!!!

Warning~~~For 48yr old females & Above only. :-)
TOM today...for May!!! Grrr. I hate that. I'm like clockwork. Can pin-point the date (or used to). So, toward the end of last month I start thinking, Okay...is THIS the month I'm going into Menopause??? LOL...Not that I'm rushing to that 'stage'!!
I woke up this morning thinking, Oh Great...NOW you want to show up? TWO weeks late...Thanks. (rolling my eyes)
The last 2 weeks of extra PMS (a.k.a. Rage) has been no picnic around here (just ask my husband, bless his heart) BUT, that's okay. At least the PMS is gone...and so is my McGruff impersonation
Got slowing going today with my exercise routine. Clearly, "The Ole Gray Mare just ain't what she used to be". lol (borrowed that line from my grandma)! :-) Not quite a Full workout, but the exercise helped me snap outta the Twilight Zone. I'm not ready to go all "Ms. Marple" just yet!
It's really a beautiful day outside. Gonna go Enjoy it!
Have a Great day, everybody!

Okay guys, I couldn't hold back any longer. When I got off the scale today, I cried. Tears of joy! F-I-N-A-L-L-Y...
One-derland!!!
197!!!
WaaaHooooo!!! Oh my goodness! I haven't seen the 100's in
THREE
years (and even then it was 187...for about 5 seconds)! This is far too much!!! What a moment! Geeeze-Oh-Wee...I am sooooo incredibly HAPPY!!!
This has been Such an emotional roller-coaster month for me with my family (outside of my house). Even more so than usual. You know how it is...in every generation, there seems to be One person among the siblings who bears the brunt of Everyone's drama. The one who's 'looked upon' to solve every problem (with a smile on their face). Well, that person is me. It's been especially draining this month with my mom being so happy that I (once again, as always, & single-handedly) handled her 'urgent' business affairs from 1000 miles away...and now She, and the rest of my siblings, are so 'relieved'.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not walking around with a V (for Victim) on my forehead...I LOVE my family and will do ANYTHING for my mom. We really are a close-knit family (though we're in many different states across the country), but sometimes Their drama leaves me no time to handle my own. It's a heavy load and often overwhelming. THEY only have ONE monkey on Their backs, but for Me....my monkeys have monkeys! LOL Dang-it!
All of this increased pressure has been a major reason that I've been so focused on my weight-loss efforts. It's the ONE thing I know I can control (with the proper discipline)....not to mention the all-important stress-relief just to Try to keep my health in check!
It's why I'm so dog-gone Elated with every little thing I'm accomplishing! {{{cheeeze}}} :-)
So, today I'm feeling Especially Joyful that I've done something for
ME
!!! This is the true reason behind the tears...not some numbers on a scale, but rather, what those numbers represent. That through it all....I've reached another personal milestone along my journey....and I ain't Done Yet!!! ;-) The Best is on it's way!!!
HIP-HIP-HOORAYYYY!!!
I've {{{shimmied}}} across the line into Boogie One-derland...and it feels GREAT!!!
Thank you guys so much for your continued support! My family is an AWESOME support system, but it's so good to be able to come on-site and chat with others who can relate to 'the struggle'. :-)
I don't want to 'carry on' like I'm accepting an Academy Award or something...LOL...but just know that I luv you guys to pieces!!!
And right now, I'm collectively squeeeezing all of you for a
BIG }}}}group hug{{{{
:-)
You're simply the BEST!!!
Have a HAPPY & One-derful Day! :-)

Oh My Goodness...I saw my Belly-button today!!! Yaaay!!! I almost forgot I had one! lol A couple of months ago, I'd have had to stretch my arms way over my head and arch my back in order to see that dog-gone thing. But today...there it was, clear as day...looking right back at me!!!
Wow...I've been really concentrating on my abs during my workouts and faithful to my abs dvd. Thank the Lord, it's starting to pay off!!! Seeing my belly-button without the use of a microscope gives me incentive to keep going! This is a Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy Day! :-)
Yahoooo...I'm gonna go mark this on my calendar!!!
For everyone who knows what I'm talking about....
HAPPY BELLY-BUTTON DAY!!! :-)

I'm sooo Excited! I've worked up to 60mins walking on the nature trail!!! That's 3.5 miles!
It felt so good that, after I was done, I almost cried.
When I first started walking 8 weeks ago, I walked 15mins on my treadmill and it totally wore me out. :-). Now, I've walked 60mins...WOW...a Whole Hour...and lived to talk about it! LOL
I looked back over my exercise journal and I actually did 60mins back on 10 Mar 09. BUT, it was only 2.5 miles and the next walking entry is not until 4 Apr 09 (the 15mins that wore me out).
It just goes to show how much that first attempt at doing 60mins was way outta my league! This time, I 'built up' to it.
20mins, 30mins, 40-45mins and today, I felt good enough to push it to 60!!! Then came home and worked my Abs DVD.
LOL~~okay, now I'm just 'showing out'. LOL
Yay...I'm on a roll!!! Go, me! :-)
I'm gonna keep it up til I'm comfortable enough to start doing the Interval thing. Then, who knows...if I keep this up, I may even end up 'trotting' a little bit in a few months! LOL
But for
TODAY
...WooHooo! I did it! I walked a whole hour, came home, and was ready to keep moving! This is me
{{{cheesing}}}
about it :-)
Apologies for yet another long post, but this is Really Big for me! I'm so HAPPY!!! I can't stop smiling! :D
{{{Smooches}}}
for all...hope you're all having a Great day!!!
