I'm hoping that using this website will help me feel more accountable for my weight loss. I've recently put on a considerable amount of weight (5kg) from working on my MA thesis in just 2 months. Sadly I have stopped exercising and started comfort eating and snacking to counter the amount of hard work I've been putting in at the computer all day... Which as anyone can imagine is hardly the right solution.

Recently I'd been feeling constantly tired and decided to weigh myself. Although I'm not too fussed about the number, the kilos I put on are also a symptom of generally not feeling well in my own skin. The main culprit is treating myself to something like a whole packet of cookies or crisps while watching the TV to destress before bed, or mindlessly snacking while I work to keep going.

Although I've been slowly putting weight on the past few years, my goal weight is the last time I remember feeling perfectly happy with my body and fitness: around 2 years ago, before I developped a bad habit of ordering takeaways and snacking because I was too tired/lazy to cook. I'll re-assess how I feel about my eating/exercising habits and if I want to lose even more weight once I reach it.

Here's to getting back to exercising and not overindulging in sugary snacks that just make my cravings worse! Seeing the great community on here is already a good motivator. :)
