The first two days of the fat smash diet were easy, because I didn't miss any of my old eating habits yet. Then it started to get harder, I started to think about everything I wanted to eat and couldn't. BBQ chicken, cheesecake, pizza, hamburger helper, etc. It was especially hard at work, where we have take-out and cake ordered for every little occasion. I'm finishing up day 6 now and I only think I'm hungry for the "bad" foods. I'm not actually starving, I just think I am. At work the other day, there was chinese food being ordered and I just said "no thank you" and sat with them while they ate and instead drank a fresh fruit smoothie i had made. They ate cake and I said "no thank you" and I was full from my lunch anyways. The most important thing is learning to say "no thank you." I don't need to eat when I'm not hungry, I don't need sweets or chips or crackers. I've worked out three times this week already and plan to work out Friday and Saturday as well. I've already lost over 5 pounds and I know I'll feel so much better when I can add chicken and fish back into my diet, because those are my favorite foods to make for dinner. So far, so good!
