Yesterday was not so good... Livin la vida low carb can be difficult in social situations.I had intended on having a glass of wine after going to the theater yesterday. I ended up seeing two of my good friends one of whom had not been around for my birthday Tuesday, she bought a nice bottle and insisted that I enjoy it. I did enjoy it. A little too much in fact. So today I'm going to have to be -extra- good.
First final exam is on monday, and I've got a discussion post to write and my advanced poetry journal to put together before I finally can start studying for that test.
It's a significant pain in the ass.
Fortunately my roommates have not touched my cola (for once) so I have something to sip on while I study.
Waiting for the gun, they're at the gates, and BANG!

Day three!YAY! I'm doing so much better! I learn more about all this stuff every day and that makes it easier. I was able to go out and see my parents tonight, both of whom have lost weight on this diet and they were able to give me a lot of good suggestions about things I can eat.I got some of those ketone strips, which only confirmed that I'm not doing half bad, I'm already in the middle of the scale.
I'm hoping I'll continue doing well in spite of exam week, which can make me eat because I get really bored studying all the time. I think if I take breaks to go to the gym, or do some of my reading on the treadmill I'll be alright.

My second official day on Atkins. (I took a day off to splurge on my birthday) despite my not having been trying too awfully hard on the days prior to my birthday I've already lost 2 pounds. I plan to start spending much more time at the gym now that I've started to really dedicate myself to the diet.
I hope that my weigh in next week will reflect my desire to really lose the excess poundage and keep it off.

Yesterday was 4/20. We all know what that means. I've been abstaining because I can't -stop- myself from eating junk when in that state of mind.But it was 4/20 and my roommate had good shit.
According to my ketone strips I am still doing OKay, but I lost some ground, and I definitely ate some stuff I shouldn't have. But I had dinner with my brother as an early birthday gift and that went well. Today I'm back on the ball rushing to get everything done so that I can enjoy myself tomorrow.

Second day on my diet and all is decently well. This is really just a "getting to know you" weekend since I'm going to tell my diet to screw itself on Tuesday on account of it being my birthday and my having already ordered a phenomenal cake and all of my friends wanting to buy me a beverage for the occasion, but I'll try not to drink -too- much beer, keep close to my old friends whiskey and diet coke. I'd like to have my net carbs a teensy bit lower, but some things have turned out to be more carb-ful than I originally imagined.
