Had my husband hide the scale until Wednesday. Was originally weighing myself several times a day because I wanted to get official weight documentation from the doctor as soon as I could, but I’m not maintaining that 187 well enough and I was starting to obsess about it. So I’ll weigh myself on Wednesday and not look at the scale again until next Wednesday. I just need to chill out with it all. Still going to get my steps in and eat healthy, but those numbers on the scale we driving me insane.

Nearly there. Weighed in first thing this morning at 185, then it creeped up to 186, then 187, and before I left the house it was back at 189. All without me eating or drinking. So I’m taking kind of the average number. I don’t really know why it fluctuates so much in such a short period of time, especially when I don’t eat or drink anything, but I wish it’d stop. It makes it hard to plan on going to the doctor to make it official. I don’t want to leave the house thinking I’m all good, then have it shoot up a few pounds during the drive there. But soon, right? It’s gotta be soon.

Yesterday I had a good cry about my lack of progress. Can’t really say I feel better or more resolved today. I’m still mad. I took a little break from walking yesterday and today and it might last the rest of the week. It’s hard to be motivated when the scale doesn’t move. If I wasn’t so close to my goal I know without a doubt that I would have given up by now. I’ll still make good food choices, but I just need a small break from the pressure I’ve placed on myself.
Husband starts his new job today, I’m so excited for him, and for us. Getting back into a morning routine will definitely be an adjustment. As will making sure he gets homework done without staying up until 3AM. We just need to really plan ahead and get our asses out of bed.
