I have managed to cut out all drinks aside from green tea and water. I've also cut out all sweets with the exception of frozen yogurt, dark chocolate covered fruits and nuts with the occasional small piece of milk chocolate. I've switched from cow's milk to almond milk. I do however let myself enjoy the moment i'm in with out worrying overly much about my self imposed restrictions. For example, we went to the movies as a family and I ate the popcorn and drank a coke. I feel great. I hope to get my sleep habits in check so I get a better quality of sleep. That will be my focus for the month of march. I started yoga and meditation, my goal in March will be to make that more regular. All is looking good.

I've took a challenge upon myself to illiminate all carbonated beverages. I've scaled back my caffien intake as well. Thats a true challenge for me given how much I would drink daily. For now I drink organic green tea when I want something a lil sweet or crave something other than water. I will drink milk perhaps twice a week but my main drink is water. I've succeeded for a week, I feel real differences in my sleep and the quality of my sleep. I've also began daily meditations, I do it once during the day when I need to and always before bed. This week I've looked at ways to lower my gluten intake for myself and my daughters, we all have issues with our digestive tract, we'll see how much benefit we'll get out of just really cutting down on it. We're cutting down on dairy as well. The challenge for myself this week will be to continue avoiding any carbonated or overly caffinated beverages and also begin to avoid eating after 8pm. When I do need to nibble on something I have healthy choices on hand to satiate any craving with out damaging my ultimate goal of living a healthier way and gaining control over my body and life. Lost two pounds! it ain't much..but I'll take it ;)
