I am a wife and mother of three grown children and one grandchild who will be starting high school in the fall. All my life I battled my weight and I did well until I hit my 40's. I guess I just got tired of the constant exercising and dieting and I let myself go.

After a successful run of weight loss last summer (actually went down to a size 12). I started to put on weight again this fall and winter.

Thankfully, I am not all the way back to where I started but I am SQUEEZING back in my size 14's and I don't like the feeling of 'grogginess' when I wake in the morning.

I'm hoping for the best!

So here goes, I'm starting back to where I was the most successful and hitting it again.

More fiber?...try sweet potatoes, quinoa, and beets. You'll have plenty of fiber! You know that might be the makings of a great summer salad...I'm going to work on that.

Eating Healthy
I don't know JenKatja about the Basmati rice. I pulled the article off the website for

I ate a bunch of rice early in the weight loss and found that I didn't have any problem losing the weight. I only recently got stuck - but I seem to be losing inches now and not so much weight.

Thanks for the responses. I think I will get the system and maybe start with the 5lb. weight and work up. I will let you know how it goes.

GoFit Kettlebells
Has anyone tried the exercise series GoFit Kettlebells?
I was thinking about purchasing the workout videos and kettlebell.

I was looking for something to do when the weather gets bad and I can't walk my dog - which is how I'm getting most of my exercise.

I just recalculated my RDI; now for the challenge I will be doing 85% from 2100. That makes it 1785.
