Nutrition

Today I tried having fish oil 2x and I am very hot now and I'm not outside. I have come to the realization that I don't nutrient wise need or benefit at 2x a day, so I will stick with only one teaspoon a day of the fish oil. I think I had too much fish oil today, because I'm not feeling good right now I think I got too much of some nutrient. I will let it wear off.

Skin: I might try flaxseed oil 1x and fish oil 1x a day and see if my hands and skin are not so dry. I can tell that there is some nutrient that I'm missing for my skin.

Muscle & Bloodsugar: When I have the chocolate granola it helps me get magnesium, on days I didn't eat it I noticed that I had my hips and back aching alot. Also because the granola has oats in it I get the benefits of eating oats, but because I'm eating cold and with milk it isn't affecting my blood sugars, the way hot cooked oat have been.

Muscle: The other thing that I realised is that my upper back aching could be muscle atrophy due to my not eating enough protein.

Skin: I read that celery has natural nutrient silica, so I should make sure to have it regularly.

Blood-sugar:I have been checking the sugar in foods and trying not to have not too much sugar at once.

Sleep: I need to figure out what helps me sleep, sometimes a good workout class can help tire me out enough to fall asleep. The turkey may help. I noticed that I'm more comfortable at night what I eat enough, but not overstuff myself with too much or greasy food. I end up getting up and being tired during the week. I have flexible hours, but I get less work hours in.

Workouts: Also I know that if I went to morning workout classes I would be more likely to go. After work lately I walk, but the other workouts are healthier for me and the baby. Workouts that make me take in more air like the dance classes can help with pregnancy brain and making my baby smarter. Also my mood is greatly affected by the dance workouts - it makes me happy, otherwise I'm not as happy and get stressed easier.


Foods that are working right now:

Organic Chocolate granola, Organic milk (I think I need to switch the low fat to either nonfat or reduced fat)

Grapefruit

Lemon in water

celery sticks

carrots

Avocado 1 or 2x of 1/5 servings a week

Turkey, Chicken, Beef (I haven't enjoyed beef the same as before I was pregnant, not sure why)

Organic milk

Organic eggs

Vitamin C I need to remember to take it daily.


What I'm trying:
Fish oil more regularly (I read that in the last 3 months if I have fish oil it will impact the baby the most, it said that my baby will cry less among other things)

I will try the flax seed oil again. I was taking the flax seed oil with my prenatal vitamins for months 2 and 3, because I read that it's healthy for a baby's brain.

I was having fish oil for 2 weeks and getting nausea, but the one that I had had soy and was a cheaper version of the one my parents have.

As of this week I will be 23 weeks on Friday. She is growing at the right pace so far, test show healthy, but they did mention that her kidneys were dilated, so they will do another ultra sound in September when I am 7 months to see if it improves.

I love food. I haven't been watching calories, just trying to eat enough healthy foods. They plan to do a glucose test again. I need to keep working out. I was in a workout Zumba class with my one pound walking weights, which are very light. I have been lifting weights for years. I was being careful with the way I was moving not doing all the moves, doing them slower or partial if needed, but that workout instructor came and told me to not wear weights in her class and literally took the weights from my hands. There is a Zumba class that does use 2-3 pound weights, another thing is that this instructor herself didn't have good form, but I was careful to have good form. I have used weights in other workout dance classes never over 2.5 LB weights and other instructors didn't mind. Part of the reason why the other instructors don't mind is because before without weights when I was not pregnant I would move very fast, and now I skip moves and move at a moderate pace. I don't do floor exercises, insanity or the weights classes that I used to. Lol I will try to not going to that one instructors class again.

So far my parents know that I'm pregnant since I brought them a centrepiece that says it's a Girl, and I bought I really nice bouquet of flowers for my Mom, and showed her my ultrasound pictures. My parents were accepting. I brought my boyfriend so that he could say it if I needed him to. They were very nice to him. Now both of our parents know. I haven't told my family members yet.
