New to this site!! Calorie ???
Hello all, just wanted to stop in and say Hi!! But I also have a question.... The calorie calculators that I have looked at on the web say I should be eating anywhere from 1600 to 2200 cals per day to MAINTAIN my current weight of 155 lbs (5'4" ). If I ate that much I would be HUGE! I have always been told that rule of thumb is to multiply by 10. 150 lbs = 1500 calories to maintain weight. My Dr wants me to eat 1,000 cal/day to lose 2 lbs a week. All the calorie calc seem to say 1200 cal for a sedentary person my size will lose 1-2 lbs a week. I am certainly not sedentary, but am moving around all day, walking, squatting, bending sitting and standing. IE I do not have a desk job...... Does this seem like too little cals? Am I eating enough? TIA
