Back from Costa Rica. Celebrated the big Four-Oh there on beautiful, black sand beaches. Did well there because we were in a condo and had to cook our own food. Didn't go out much. Trouble started when we got stranded in Bush Airport in Houston. Did you know they have a Pappadeaux's with a BUFFET for $11? 12 hours in the Houston airport packed on 6lbs. Everything was fried and salty. I didn't drink enough water or have any healthy snacks to munch on. Back to the beginning! I seem to be gaining and losing the same 5lbs over and over.

Weekends. Weekends are for weight gain. Not to mention the Chocolate Festival is in town. Sigh. Please let me have SOME restraint and not blow it this weekend like I do EVERY weekend. Amen.

I ate so badly the last two days. I always blow it on weekends. Was down 2lbs on Thursday, but back up by 2lbs today. Looked at a friend's Beachbody website and almost got sucked in. $199 for workout videos and $119 a month for a 30 day supply of Shakeology. Can't afford that. Funny, but I have a copy of PX-90 in my office. I convinced myself it's for fit folks who want to get fitter, not obese folks who want to lose weight. Sigh...Feeling really down on myself.

I was doing about 1800 calories a day until I spoke with my doctor, who said I should be doing 1500 or less (but not less than 1200). Jeez, now what? I looked into Shakeology and it's $119 for a one month supply (that's one shake for 30 days!). Holy crap. I've got some old Slim Fast in the cabinet. I'm thinking about blowing the dust off of it.
