Really discouraged :(
I know how you feel! I am a bored snacker.
As for portion control, I eat from a salad plate instead of a dinner plate. And never in front of the television. I wait 15 minutes before I go for seconds just to let my brain cue in to let me know if I'm still hungry or not. After dinner I drink a bottle of water and I try to go to bed before 10PM because that's usually when I start to get hungry again and want to start snacking.
Anyways, just thought I'd share what I do to try to stop my snacking.
