Ugh! I've been stuck at the same weight for a month. I know, I've been cheating though...so to stay at the same weight is good. Thank goodness for exercise. When I increased my carbs, last time, I started to lose weight again. Wondering if I should do it again. I have a lingering question on my mind. I am wondering if adding Hemp Protein to my smoothie in the morning has caused my lack of weight loss. It is 12 carbs per serving but also 12 grams of fiber per serving as well. I only use a third of a serving so technically it is 4 carbs/4g fiber. Either case it is 0 net carbs. But, I still have to wonder. I've noticed in the past that when I move to a new set of numbers...150's to 140's it takes me a while to get out of the upper range of numbers. I wonder if I psyche myself out or something. Whatever, at least I'm staying put, no gain is just as good.

I recently asked if there was a protein mix I could take instead of whey protein because I realized that I am allergic to whey. Which is what all of the Atkins products have in them. I used the Atkins products anyway because I am a highly allergic person, first of all, and I just assumed that my allergies were caused from what I take allergy shots for; grasses, molds, animals. But then it donned on me that when I eat Atkins products all of my symptoms get worse. So, I quit the Atkins products and my nose stopped running, I stop sneezing, and the like. One of my friends suggested Hemp protein. I really like it.

I started using Spirulina again. I tried it several months ago but I couldn't choke it down for nothing. Mixing it in a smoothie never worked as this stuff is truly one of the worst smelling, tasting food.

At the same time I asked about a protein supplement another friend of mine suggested Spirulina. She said just a teaspoon a day is enough. She said she likes the taste too. But, the difference between what she is doing and what I was doing was about 2 tsp. So instead of putting a tablespoon into a smoothie, I dropped it down to a tsp. I can handle it and I don't even taste it.

So, now my daily smoothie consists of 1 tlbs of hemp, 1 tsp of spirulina, strawberries, almond milk, and raspberry SF Davinci syrup.

Going back to Spirulina. It is an algae, which means I believe it is a mold. But, from what I read spirulina can actually calm all of my allergies, even mold. This makes sense because allergy shots give you a dose of what you are allergic to, to make you immune. Yes, it's causing an allergic reaction but not all the time and I believe I am slowly getting my allergies under control.
