Sunday. night, I didnt get a chance to write in my journal. I had a really great day. I had 2 salads which were yummy! I also had chicken and homemade mashed potatoes. I am proud to say I did not eat any junk food yesterday, and I didnt feel the urge for it either. This is big for me considering I was surrounded by it all day long. Hoping today goes just as nicely. Ps... Peeked at my weight on the scale and so far lost 2lbs this week!!! Not going to log it until official weigh-in though :). I hope everyone is staying on track. I know my 3 challenges are starting today. For all my "competitors" good luck, we CAN do this!!!!

Last night I made 5 dozen beautiful cupcakes for a party at my daughters basketball game to celebrate grandparents day. Well.... This morning I had to help out at the party,and I ate one of my donuts and I also ate a cheese danish. I also ate a chocolate chip cookie that my toddler shoved in my face. Besides the party the rest of my day was healthy eating. However, now I have to burn off all those excess calories and hopefully some of the guilt. Im allowed a little splurge once in a blue moon arent I??? Ughhhh I guess not if I plan to lose weight.... Seriously though, I know that I am going to pay for this when it comes time to weigh in at the end of week 2. It is a good thing that I do not attend many parties during the year because even when I start off strong (1st 2hrs I was avoiding the bad stuff) my willpower is not that tough.... YET. Im getting better (if I would have eaten everything I normally would have... I would have gained back 5lbs and then some).
Positive points... I have been avoiding fast food. (I was eating it every day). I have not had soda in awhile either. I have been eating at least one salad every day (this is good because it fills me up and its healthy and low in calories). These are small changes that over time will really help me to maintain my weight loss. I do have a gym membership but it is difficult to get there often. My hubby as offered to buy me a piece of exercise equipment to use at home. I particularly like the stepper at the gym and it burns a ton of calories compared to everything else (I also have a.treadmill at home but its buried in my basement under a bunch of other crap, so maybe I will dig that back out too.)

Today was a decent day. I did not eat any rice, potatoes, bread, or pasta the entire day and I always eat at least one of them. I do not know if that has ever happened before in my life. I did an unofficial weigh in to see how my bad food choices yesterday affected me... and I actually lost another pound!!! I am going to the store tonight to stock up on more salad and other healthy goodness. My hubby even noticed today that I lost weight (maybe hes just saying that to pump me up, but who cares? I'll take it ether way!) I am feeling good... but I am not seeing any difference in the mirror yet. Patience Jessica. Patience! By the way.... I NEED DIET BUDDIES PEOPLE!!!!!! I need you! :)

OMG! I had to work outside in the dreary cold crazy relentless SNOW today when all I wanted to do is lay in bed and sleep. I need sleep!!! My toddler was up the entire night (literally... She did not even close her eyes for a minute). She has eczema outbreaks and last night she was really itchy. At 3am I gave her a Bath. At 330am I made her chicken noodle soup. By 5am she was no longer itchy but was wide awake watching videos on youtube on my Ipad. By 6am I was busy packing a salad for lunch and out the door by 7am. My hubby owns a small garbage company and today 2 of his main guys were out. Sooo I had to come fill in. Its no excuse but the lack of sleep, combined with my frustration of having to work in this horrible weather with numb toes I made bad food choices without a second thought. I caught sight of my daughters snacks I keep in my purse for her..... By the end of the work day they were in my belly. At lunch time when hubby stopped to get a slice of pizza I ate one too. I wasnt even hungry for any of it. I dont know why I ate it, and by the time I came home and warmed up I regretted my choices. I went over my RDI for the first time (only by a few calories but still!). I did exercise today if you consider lifting up and dumping 50-80+ pound garbage toters, hooking up to dumpsters, and then in addition to a truck packed full of refuse I loaded about a quarter garbage truck full of recyclable cardboard. I should still do some official type of workout tonight anyway... But Im soooo exhausted I dont know if I am up for it. Ill see how I feel after a long shower.

Today it has been exactly one week since I started tracking my diet on FS. I have lost a total of FIVE POUNDS this week!!! (I did a weigh in halfway during the week which is why it doesnt show all 5lbs). I have been very good about eating at least one salad everyday with meals. I have also almost completely cut out diet coke and have switched to diet iced tea and water. The two challenges I have added to FS start in less than a week and I am soooooo hoping to get a bunch of people on there to challenge and motivate me and yourself as well! I still have been eating some junk food and I only worked out one time since I started my diet, but hoping to increase the workouts this week and cut back a little more on the chocolates ;p. well good luck everyone, keep at it!
