Even though I have been eating mainly fruit and veges, I have taken more notice of GI, fructose and portion size, and at last I am seeing some results.
For example I always thought pears were innocuous, but they are high in fructose, along with dried figs and dried apricots, which was my choice of snack (along with a couple of almonds, or walnut or brazil nut), but I have not replaced them as they ran out.
And I am cutting right back to next to nothing the odd treat, that I probably had too often!
I am hoping to have time to enter food soon, but this is the week we do the concerts at the Aged Care homes, most 30kms away, so it takes care of the day. Actually the one today gives us lunch in the hospital canteen, and I had salad (no dressings) and a piece of quiche, admittedly with a very thin crust, but not what I would eat at home.

I'd forgotten about My FatSecret, then received an email today. I would like to participate again.
I had been vegetating, but got back to exercise groups in town Monday and Thursday last week, and also started riding my bike around town on messages, and I feel much better, been cleaning up the back yard and put in vegetables as well. I think it being Autumn instead of Summer helps a lot too.
Look forward to keeping up here.

Three Christmas parties this week, and weight went up to a pound during the week, before I weighed in half a pound loss for the week this morning. The automatic response on here said I would take 18 months to reach my goal weight at that rate!
I haven't noticed any difference really, though I have lost about 5 pounds altogether, but hubby says there is less of me when he puts his arms around me, and what better encouragement than that!
