The scales were nice to me this morning!!
Craziness! There is no rhyme or reason surrounding the actual change in my numbers!! ARGHHH!!! I have been journaling everything down to the tiny dollop of Grey Poupon and absolutely have stayed under my calories out every day, but somehow the scale only reflects it when it so chooses. Ok, I know I am being unreasonable by blaming it on the scale. hahaha. Really it's this crazy disorder, and I am very grateful to just be on the right track. I just am not a big one for unpredictability... I like knowing what I am going to be dealing with...
Possibilities I have come up with:
1. I was not eating enough and the little bit extra I had yesterday boosted it enough to make me lose.
2. At nighttime my body does not recognize the overnight fast as a good thing like normal. My body always throws a fit if I don't take something in either right before bed if I go to bed late or in the middle of the night. Last night I got up with a sick child and nibbled on something small and very low calorie, but I slept better and I lost numbers on the scale...
Or I could just keep going like I'm going and quit analyzing everything and just accept that I have to go about it a little differently. You know they don't even have suggestions for weight loss for people with mitochondrial disorders? A lot of mito patients are to small instead of to big, and because such little is known about how weight loss effects mito, there's just nothing out there.
Anyway, that's my rant for today. Thanks for tuning in. Tune in tomorrow for the Friday special.

Ok, so I heard that for us baking lovers you could replace a fat in foods like butter or margarine with plain yogurt... I'm here to tell you that it is a catastrophic failure. I'm not even sure what to call those cookie buiscuit thingys that I just made, but they were not successful!
Any suggestions?? I still haven't figured out how to get around the emotional baker in me. I really am not all that emotional right now, I just had an itch to bake, and I knew if I baked it, I would eat it, so I wanted to make it at least decent enough to be eaten and not make my numbers sky rocket... Any bakers out there with some helpful tips??

Only a few tenths of a pound and I will be out of the 190's!! It has taken it's dear sweet time, but I am very excited to be there! We are going on a trip to my sister-in-law's (and bestie) house at the end of this week. I am so excited that I WILL be in the 180's before we see her and her husband!! It's so exciting!! As of right now, I have officially lost 30 pounds total since I started this weight loss journey (including before fat secret). 30 pounds!!! Wow!!! So awesome feeling!
