Happy Monday everyone!!! Happy Monday sounds weird. I feel like I am the only one that isn't bothered by a Monday. This weekend was something of a success. Had a birthday party on Saturday, which wasn't too horrible, and Sunday was a great day to make sure I got back on track. So, it was a good weekend all around. Three days in and still going strong. I really want to have some cookies with my lunch right now, but I know that they will ruin what I am trying to do, so I will just take a rain check. I need to make sure that treats like that are saved for really special occasions. Well, have a great day everyone. I will be back again soon.

Day one was a success. And now on to day two. If I look at one day at a time as opposed to a whole life of change, it doesn’t seem so daunting. So here’s to the weekend. Hope you all have a great one. #traintobedauntless

Hello to all of you. Hope you are doing well. Me, I've been better. So, my most favorite food in the world is bread. I love the smell, flavor, feel...... Doesn't matter. I love it all. So, when I go to my doctor and he says that I have moved from borderline pre-diabetic to right in the mid rage for pre-diabetic, it wasn't pleasant. Neither was him telling me that I need to restrict my carb intake. Great. Here goes the neighborhood. My meals center around bread, pasta, rice, potatoes..... So, starting today, it's as few carbs as possible. I do not want to get into the diabetic range. So, I will take his advice, and do what I knew for a while I needed to do, and that is cut out the carbs. It will have to become a special treat to enjoy bread/pasta/desert as opposed to just watch the calories. This is going to be really hard for me, but I am hoping to make this work. It's a new lifestyle, no/low carb. I'm not going to follow any specific diet (Adkins/South Beach), except for the fact that I am going to limit my carb intake. I will monitor that, and try to keep up with healthy things to eat. Here is for another journey. Let's hope I don't mess this one up. Lots of things at stake now. Have a great day and a great weekend.

Good morning. It's been a few months since I stopped going to the gym, but this week has not been to difficult to get into the morning routine. I guess being a morning person that helps a little. Just glad to get in the gym. I have really missed it. I know that sounds odd, but even my wife says I am in a better mood when I hit the gym. I know it was frustrating to see myself gain the weight and hit the gym, but if I'm being honest, I knew I wasn't eating right. And I am trying to get into that right mentality again. I am making an effort to cut my portions, because honestly it wasn't what I was eating, but how much. Enough ranting out of me. Gotta get to work. Hope you all have a great day.
