Hello to all of you. Hope you are doing well. Me, I've been better. So, my most favorite food in the world is bread. I love the smell, flavor, feel...... Doesn't matter. I love it all. So, when I go to my doctor and he says that I have moved from borderline pre-diabetic to right in the mid rage for pre-diabetic, it wasn't pleasant. Neither was him telling me that I need to restrict my carb intake. Great. Here goes the neighborhood. My meals center around bread, pasta, rice, potatoes..... So, starting today, it's as few carbs as possible. I do not want to get into the diabetic range. So, I will take his advice, and do what I knew for a while I needed to do, and that is cut out the carbs. It will have to become a special treat to enjoy bread/pasta/desert as opposed to just watch the calories. This is going to be really hard for me, but I am hoping to make this work. It's a new lifestyle, no/low carb. I'm not going to follow any specific diet (Adkins/South Beach), except for the fact that I am going to limit my carb intake. I will monitor that, and try to keep up with healthy things to eat. Here is for another journey. Let's hope I don't mess this one up. Lots of things at stake now.
