Well, most all my life I was "skinny", a solid 155 lbs 5'-9", that was until I turned 40 about 12 years ago. Slowly and steadily I grew to be 236 lbs by the time I turned 50 yrs old. My neck was 19½", couldn't find shirts that fit, and I was FAT at 50! I went on a no alcohol, low fat, high protein diet. Lost 71 pounds in 7 month (165lbs) :) , but sadly, I grew again to 213 this last July 2011, so he I am again, fat, old, and needing to work a program. I decided to research RDI amounts and with the help of this FatSecret website, I've complied several meals that are mostly RDI balanced at 50% carbohydrates / 30% fat / 20% protein, and low calorie :) I lost 24 pounds in 7 weeks (Aug 7 - Sept 25, 2011) and am half way to my goal of 165lb... AGAIN, last time... promise to me, by me. GOOD Luck with your chosen programs!!!
UPDATE 12/21/2011: My current weight is 159lbs and my goal is to dip below 155lbs and then maintain.
