Performance: losing 1.2 lb a week

Goal Weight

A divorced mother of two amazing children, I’m engaged to a wonderful man who is an unbelievable partner and completes my life in a way I didn’t believe was ever possible. Life is truly fantastic. I'm working hard to get to my goal weight and I am so unbelievably close ya’ll. I have kicked all health issues to the curb...yaaassss! Take that, you big beasties :p

A paralegal working for a local law firm, I find myself glued to my desk and phone, or in the alternative, I’m in meetings glued to another chair. I also edit/review books for authors and publishers in my downtime, not to mention just being an avid reader in general with thoughts of getting my own writing published someday. None of this is conductive to good health and so I have readjusted things in order to get moving and grooving.

Previously diagnosed as Pre-diabetic, my mindset is positive and solid: I AM going to drop this weight, and I WILL get healthy for myself, as well as for my family. I'm interested in meeting like-minded individuals for support and insight as I make these changes and make a new path for myself in my life.

Start weight: 346; End goal: 150
New current goals:
1st: 190
2nd: 180
3rd: 170
4th: 160
5th & Final: 150

We need better fast food options
Yea that is sheer torture...I have always been a bread person and it was rough walking away from it all. *sniffle sniffle* lol.

In all honesty, the chicken is good across the board until you get to the sodium. That's where it goes to serious crap. Obviously you making it yourself it will be less calories, fat, carbs, sugars, and sodium but it does come in handy for those in a pinch moments. Unfortunately for ppl with high BP its not a option-or shouldn't be an option. I can't have more than 1300 mg of sodium a day. Most of the chicken tends to be around 1100 on up in the sodium dept which is why I don't do it. I start to feel it within a short while of eating it. My head starts beating horribly like a bunch of village idiots are drumming in my head, not to mention the swelling of feet and hands. lol

We need better fast food options
Amen to that UnclePen! And when you do happen to find a place that serves grilled chicken, it is so high in sodium that it is lethal. It's not an option to me with my BP being so high. I end up just waiting til I get home. A lot of the options at those places are the same so I am outta luck lol

What is too low for your RDI? Feeling tired and caught a cold.
From all my research and my doctor it is my understanding that we are to never go below 1200 calories a day so as to not lose muscle and also to make sure we do get proper nutrition.

I'm 257 pds and eat 1300 approximately each day. My RDI was supposed to be 2000 according to FS. yes I have been losing weight and eating extremely well. Wink
